About Us |

A Little History Mary Jane’s Oak is a family run business whose owners are Donald and Mary Jane Schlichter. Don and Mary Jane owned and operated a construction business located in Mascoutah, IL and served the Metro-East area for over 20 years. As a woodworker and master carpenter/craftsman, Don has since retired from the construction business to bring his talents and expertise to an oak furniture establishment. Mary Jane’s Oak has been open since November 1994. Our Objective At Mary Jane’s Oak, we wish to provide the best quality, prices, and services in the line of oak furniture that the area has to offer, and with a down-to-earth, no-hassle, no-haggle approach. In addition, we offer other specialized services such as custom staining as well as made-to-order items. Product Lines We carry a large assortment of furniture for every room of your home including entertainment centers, hutches, kitchen and occasional tables, bedroom sets, computer desks and office accessories, rockers, gliders, curios, and much more. The majority of the furniture that we have and sell is Amish made. From our perspective and experience, there are none better who make this type of furniture. We deal directly with a large number of Amish manufacturers. In addition, we also represent several other solid oak furniture manufacturers, including Oakridge of Aniwa, Oak Designs, Forest Designs, Eagle Industries, Silver Eagle, Woodcraft Industries, Trend Manor, Bebe, and others. See our Links page for more listings. Our products are American made, 100% solid wood. If it isn’t, we will tell you. Why shop at Mary Jane’s We’ve gained much experience and expertise since starting our business, seeing this industry from just about every angle, but always the goal is the same. We look for and strive for the highest quality, and our experience has shown us what is quality, and frankly, what isn’t. Because we also build items here on location, specifically dining tables, we have the understanding of how well-built furniture should be designed and constructed. |
